John Paul Mccormick

John Paul McCormick, age 67 of Mio, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
John was born in Stamford, Connecticut on June 19, 1947 to John Paul and Eleanor (Smith) McCormick. He graduated from Dickinson High School in Jersey City, New Jersey with the Class of 1965, then attended Great Lakes Naval Academy. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War; serving in Hawaii and at the US Pentagon. He was a retired computer engineer for AT &T. John settled in Mio in 2003. He enjoyed the challenges and problem solving of computer repair. John also enjoyed attending music concerts.
John is survived by his daughter Caitlin O’Connor of Tucson, AZ and his niece Kasha (Dan) Walker of Mio, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Richard McCormick and his sister Bridget McCormick.
Visitation on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan. Interment will follow the service at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan, with military honors offered by the Luzerne American Legion Post # 162.
