Johanna Mae Parent

JoHanna M. Parent, age 56 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 10, 2016.
JoHanna was born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 19, 1960 to James and Phoebe (Barron) VanVliet. She worked for Homedics in Walled Lake, MI. JoHanna married Mike Parent in 2007, and the couple moved to Fairview in 2008. She was an artist in painting and crafting, and she enjoyed flower gardening.
JoHanna is survived by her husband Mike of Fairview, MI; her children: Amy VanVliet (Herbert Parent IV) of Atlanta, MI and Michael J Pence (Stephanie Borstler) of Lansing, MI; 3 sisters: Beverly (Mark) Buell of Monroe, MI; Jeanette Richman of La Salle, MI; and Mary VanVliet (Bailey Frazier) of Highland, MI; 2 grandchildren: Kaylee Parent and Herbert Parent V; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James VanVliet, Jr., and her brother-in-law Claude Richman.
Visitation on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the services.
Memorial donations may be made toward the wishes of the family.
