Joella J. Larson

Joella Jane Larson, age 71 of Mio, Michigan, passed away, unexpectedly, at her home on Friday, December 27, 2013.
Joella was born in Connersville, Indiana on November 1, 1942 to Joseph and Naomi Brake. She lived in Kentucky, and later settled in Romeo, Michigan. She moved to Mio in 1979, where she was co-owner of the Northern View Motel. She had enjoyed bowling, going to casinos, fishing, hunting, and watching the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR races.
Surviving are her children: Debbie (Roy) Buchanan of Clayton, MI; and Jeanne (Toby) Shaw of Mio, MI; 4 grandchildren: Kelly Bollaert, Tracey Buchanan, Matthew Shaw, and Ashley Shaw; and her brother Gaylord Brake of Fort Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Carl, Harold, Dean, Gerald and Donald; and her former husband LeRoy Larson.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Luzerne Cemetery.
