Jodi Sue Johnson

Jodi Sue Johnson, age 53, of Mio, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. She was born in Bay County, Michigan on July 13, 1972, a daughter of the late Cora (Ruttan) and James Colson.

Jodi enjoyed 31 years of marriage with her husband, Jerry. She raised her four boys while taking care of her parents in their time of need. Jodi loved drawing, painting, reading books, writing, and horseback riding. She also loved camping and being outdoors. Jodi was involved in the 4-H club for 15 years. She had taken 15 years of dance classes.

Jodi is survived by her husband, Jerry Johnson; children, Jeremiah, Andrew, Bailey, and Codee; sister, Jill Vasquez; brothers, Jeff Colson and Jim Colson; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Serenity, Keegan, Connor, Liberty, and Ivan. She will also be remembered by LouAnn Johnson and Emiley Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will welcome friends on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Lashley Funeral Home in Mio, MI with a visitation from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM with Pastor Gene Spies officiating.
