Joan Cox

Joan Cox, age 75 of Luzerne, Michigan, passed away at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw, MI on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Joan was born in Melvin, Michigan on June 4, 1942 to Samuel and Sarah Marie (Cook) Fields. She married Orville Cox on July 11, 1959 in Port Huron, MI. The family moved to Luzerne in 1975 from Port Huron. Joan worked in a factory in Lewiston for a time. She enjoyed puzzles, BINGO, and spending time with her grandkids.

Joan is survived by her husband Orville of Luzerne, MI; her children: Carol Good of Port Huron, MI; Tim (Cheri) Cox of Luzerne, MI; and Annette Cox, also of Luzerne, MI; her brothers: Harry (Skip) and Bob (Marion) Fields; 7 grandchildren: Amanda, Amber, Stacy, Crystal, Robbie, Danelle, and Timothy, and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law: Diane and Sandy Cox. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: Sammy and Raymond; and 2 great-grandchildren: Marie and Danica.

Visitation on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 3 – 7 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and also on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10 AM until Funeral Services at 11 AM with Pastor Amber Billman officiating. Interment will follow at Luzerne Cemetery, Luzerne, Michigan.
