Mr. Jess W. Cayugan, 93, of Lambertville, MI, formerly of Comins, MI. passed away Friday, June 1st, 2007 in Lambertville.
Visitation Tuesday 1-9 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 7 PM. Funeral Services Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Salsbury of The Comins Mennonite Church officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, MI.
Jess was born on Jan. 24, 1914 to the late Percy & Bertha (Green) Cayugan. He was a tool and die maker for General Motors, Warren, MI Plant., for 19 years, retiring in 1977 when he moved to Comins.
Jess was a member of the UAW Local 909, Warren, MI, a life member of The Mio Masonic Lodge #596 F&AM , Mio Chapter #528 O.E.S, Shriners and a life member of The N.R.A..
Surviving are his wife Ethel (Breitner) Nyitray-Cayugan; step daughters: Carol (Harold) Peters of Petersburg, MI; Barbara Demkowski of Jonesville, MI and Sharon (James) Ashman of Temperance, MI; step son: Edward (Paula) Nyitray of Ida, MI; sister: Doris (Bryce) Robinson of Bountiful, UT; brothers: Donald Cayugan and David Cayugan both of Canada. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren.
Jess was preceded in death by his parents and 1st wife Cecilia (VanDenaBeele) Cayugan.
