Jennifer Jean Watson

Jennifer Jean (Roe) Watson, age of 43, of Mio, passed away suddenly on December 27,2015, due to
natural causes.
Born on August 4, 1972, in Battle Creek, MI, Jennifer ("J.J") was raised in the Kalamazoo area before
attending High School in Fort Gibson, OK. She earned her GED from Galesburg-Augusta (MI) High
School in 1992. She also briefly attended Kirtland Community College in Roscommon.
Jennifer was known for her irreverently funny and outgoing personality, which she successfully
channeled into the performing arts, including choir, piano, drama, and forensics. After graduation, she
briefly lived and worked in Kalamazoo before moving to the Mio area, where she became a mother and
raised her children. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family, crafting, gardening, garage
saleing, watching her sons play sports, and helping others. Her children were Jennifer's greatest joy in
life, and she considered them to be her highest accomplishment.
She is survived by her parents, Nancy Drake of San Benito, TX, and William Roe of Wagoner, OK; her
sons Zachory Stanley Pillars (with Gregg Pillars) of Luzerne, and Brian Patrick Watson Jr. (with former
husband, Brian Watson Sr.), of Luzerne; her sister, Dawn (Dave) Pearson and niece, Emma, of Portage,
MI; her significant other, Jack Layman; and many extended relatives and friends.
Jennifer was cremated following a private viewing at Lashley Funeral Home in Mio. A memorial
service was held at the Mio Community Center on Friday, January 1,2016. Memorial donation to help
with final expenses may be made to Jennifer's children in care of Brian Watson Jr .. 2233 Ryno Road,
Luzerne, MI, 48636.
