Jenifer Lynn Szafranski (February 18, 1972 – November 12, 2015) was called home by the Lord as she was surrounded by her family. Jen was an author (Bad Can Be Broken:  A Story of Cancer, Karma, and Courage), created poetry, loved to read, enjoyed sketching, and was a fanatical music lover.  She was born in West Branch, and had attended Emma Lowry Church.  Her hobbies included reading, research, drafting prayers, spending time in nature, and most importantly, being with her three children, grandchild, and husband.
Jenifer is survived by her husband Mark; her children Austin, Katelyn, and Kyleigh; her granddaughters Kyla and Jaela; her brother Michael (Jessica); her parents; and many other family members and friends.  She is greeted by her grandmother Mavis and her best friend Erika.
Visitation Monday, November 16, 2015 from 3 – 8 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan; and again on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11 AM also at Lashley Funeral Home with Hedy Alcock officiating.  Interment will follow at Luzerne Cemetery, Luzerne, Michigan.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to “Cancer Causing Creations” at First Merit Bank.211 N. Morenci Mio, Michigan 48647.
