Janice Eliza Lietzke

March 27, 1945 – June 13, 2024

On June 13, 2024, Janice Eliza Lietzke entered with joy in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She passed away at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena, Michigan.

On March 30, 1961, she married Carlton Lietzke. She loved family time and holidays. Janice enjoyed being outdoors in the yard, as well as fishing and camping. She would always have a caring heart, rescuing farm animals and bottle-feeding them. She also loved crocheting and making blankets for all of her family members as a token of her love. Everyone had to be on their toes with her!

Janice is survived by her sons and daughters: Andrea (Paul) Pierce of Mio, MI; Lynwood (Karrie) Lietzke of Afton, TN; Charleen (Greg) Hobbs of Dexter, MI; Belinda (Paul) Fenter of Chuckey, TN; Byron (Kimberly) Lietzke of Mio, MI; and Eric Lietzke of Sarasota, FL (a grandson who was raised as a son); ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Lietzke, her parents: Chester and Charlotte Maxam, and her brothers and sisters: Duane Maxam, Burrell Maxam, Beverly Power, Verlyn Maxam, and Doug Maxam.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned.
