James R. Poster, Sr.

James Raymond Poster Sr. was born November 11, 1933. Aged 89, James passed away
peacefully at home in the presence of family on June 24, 2023.
James was the beloved husband to the late Patricia (Bartley), and loving father of Karen Poster-
Verrill, Debra Poster, Linda (Paul) Murthum, Mary (Rob) Seeterlin, Diane (Tim) Merman, Julie
(Tim) Hebda, James (Cindi) Poster Jr, William Poster, Bridget (Ed) Czarnecki and the late
Kenneth Poster, loving stepfather to Shawnna (Bartley) Mead, and the late Peggy Ehlers. In
addition, James is survived by 41 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After his retirement from Ford Motor Company our father moved to Luzerne, MI where he
enjoyed a quiet life playing horseshoes, spending time with friends at the local Legion and
Moose Halls, and large family campouts on his property.
We will celebrate our father and intern his remains on May 11, 2024, at 1 pm at the Luzerne
Cemetery in Luzerne, MI. Family and friends are welcome to join us at the cemetery.
