James Knight

James Lewis Knight, age 79, of Luzerne, passed away Wednesday, December 26th, 2012 at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Petoskey, MI.
Jim was born in Roscommon, Michigan on January 21, 1933, the son of the late Gaylord and Pauline (Sopsack) Knight. He served his country in the U.S. Military. Jim married Martha (Zimmerman) Knight on August 6, 1960 in Gross Point Farms. He was a retired mail carrier for the US Post Office. Jim moved from Dearborn Heights to Luzerne in 1987, where he was a member of the Luzerne American Legion Post # 162.
Surviving is 1 brother: Bill (Dorothy) Knight of Suprise, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Martha Knight.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service for Interment of ashes of James & Martha Knight, with Military Honors offered by The Luzerne American Legion Post # 162 will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2013 at 12:00 Noon at The Luzerne Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at The Luzerne American Legion Post.
