James M. Gutt

James M. Gutt, age 76 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center in Roscommon, MI on Thursday, October 8, 2015.
Jim was born in Richmond, Michigan on July 22, 1939 to Adam and Cecilia (Zychski) Gutt.  He married Lorna Rau on September 30, 1961 in Richmond, MI. Jim worked for G.M.C. Pontiac, retiring in 1995 after 32 years of service.  The couple settled in Fairview, MI in 1999.
Jim is survived by his wife Lorna L. Gutt of Fairview, MI; his children: Laura (James) Jacobs of Livonia, MI; Randall Gutt of Hampton, VA; and Karen (Tim) Baisley, also of Hampton, VA; his siblings:  Delores Gutt, John Gutt, Grace Suess and Greg Gutt; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 expected great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers:  David and Francis; and his sister Mary Sobkowski.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11 AM at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Richmond, MI with Father Sean Bonner officiating. His ashes will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
