James Buell

James Allen Buell, age 42 of Mio, Michigan left us suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday May 10th, 2013.
Jim was born on April 4th, 1971 to Bill and Mary Ann of South Bend, Indiana. He was the managing partner of an emergency medical consulting company as well as a dedicated and extraordinary paramedic. The lives of many have been irrefutably blessed by the dedication he gave to his career. EMS was truly his passion. He represented his new community which quickly embraced him as a leader, mentor, educator, and friend.
Jim was a brilliant man of many talents. He was an exceptional pianist who also had a love for aviation, photography, art, hiking, cycling and any adventurous outdoor activities. He also trained for and participated in numerous triathlons. Jim was definitely an accomplished man.
Jim had a unique sense of humor with a contagious laugh. His personality would light up any room he entered and draw people toward him. You couldn't help but want to be around him.
Jim leaves behind his parents Bill and Mary Ann, brother Rob and sister-in-law Katie, nieces and nephew Maci, Maggie, and Michael, the love of his life and sweetheart, as he fondly referred to Becky, her children Patrick, Paige, Hayley and Marshal whom he cared for, loved and adored as his own, his best friend Keith (Kia) with Godson Connor, and former wife Shana.
His devotion as a son, brother, companion, father-figure and friend will continue to grow inside our hearts as we learn to venture forward on our journey without him. The memories that we have shared with Jim in his short time on this earth will last a lifetime until we are at last united again.
Visitation Wednesday, May 15, 2013 1-4 and 6-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio and Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral Services at 11:00 AM at The Mio Church of God with Pastor T.J. Withererell officiating. Cremation will follow the Funeral Service.
