James Edward Banks

James E. Banks, age 64 of Comins, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 with his family at his side, following a long battle with cancer.

James was born in Mio, Michigan on March 5, 1956 to Gerald and Mary (Ellis) Banks. He graduated from Fairview Area Schools and from Kirtland Community College with a degree in Business, he then served his country in the US Air Force. He worked as a Postal Carrier in the Mio Area until 2006. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at Avery Lake, and enjoying time spent with his family and grandchildren.

James is survived by his companion Sharon Causley; his children: Michelle Banks of Washington; Cenia Banks of Mio, MI; and Jamie (Richard) Lloyd of Mio, MI; his step-son J.R. Causley of Lewiston, MI; his sisters: Marie Banks, Laura Owens, and Linda (Jay) Aubertin; 8 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son Isaac.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
