Jacob A. Sieg

Mr. Jacob A.""Jake"" Sieg, age 91, of Mio, passed away Thursday, January 4th, 2007 while in the company of family members, at his home. Visitation Friday 5-9 PM. at the Lashley Funeral Home, with a Prayer Vigil Service 7:00 PM Friday, by Fr. Joseph A. Blasko. Funeral Services at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mio, MI, at 11 AM on Saturday, January 6th, with Father Joseph A. Blasko officiating. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery in Mio, MI.
Mr. Sieg was born march 2, 1915 to the late August Sieg and Catherine (Schwartz) Sieg. He had came to Mio in 1977 from Riverview, MI. after retiring from Wyandotte Chemical Corp. now BASF. Jacob enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising pigeons and rabbits.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dynetta A. Sieg in Feb. 22, 1999 and by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Surviving are his 2 children: Donna (Dale) Carone of Mio, MI. and Ronald (Sharon) Sieg of Clermont, FL., One Sister Betty Harper of Brighton, MI., 6 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, P.O. Box 667, West Branch, MI 48661. Arrangements were handled by Lashley Funeral Home of Mio, MI.
