Jacob William “Jake the Snake” Cole, age 27, passed away on September 27, 2025, in Traverse City, Michigan. Born on December 23, 1997, in Petoskey, Michigan, Jacob brought light and laughter into the lives of those around him from the very beginning. Jacob was a kind and gentle soul whose caring nature touched everyone he met. Known affectionately as “Jake the Snake,” he had a unique spirit that made him unforgettable. His sense of humor and vibrant laughter brought joy to countless moments shared with family and friends. He showed his love with the best bear hugs.
He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures spending time with his loved ones, casting a line while fishing, loving on his families pets, and immersing himself in video games & anime. He loved playing basketball & wrestling with his nephews. He enjoyed sitting around a camp fire singing his favorite tunes with his family. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were ways Jacob connected with others and expressed his bright personality.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Bill Cole and grandmother Cindy Westdorp.
Though Jacob’s time on earth was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.
