Mr. Howard Hatten, 81, of Luzerne passed away Friday, June 10th, 2011at his home in Luzerne, MI. He was born April 26, 1930 in Detroit, MI. Howard retired from General Motors in 1985. On August 1, 1987 he married his loving wife of 23 years, Christine. They moved to Luzerne in 1991. Howard served in the Korean War. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer and loved his trips to the casino.
He is survived by his wife Christine of Luzerne; his son Jim (Marian) Hatten of Livonia; daughter Jan (Hatten) Gary Dall of Grand Rapids; sister Dee (Hatten) George Staevich of Gaylord; his grandchildren; and his special friends: Ray Ballard of Luzerne, Don Fuller of Fairview and Paul Pasternak of Mio. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Viewing is Monday June 13, 2011 at the Lashley Funeral Home from 2- 4 PM and again from 6-8 PM with the funeral service at 8:00 PM, with Chaplain Brandon Rogers officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christine Hatten in honor of Howard's life.
