Herbert John Cook

Herbert John Cook, 88, of Fairview, MI, passed away Sunday, May 27th, at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview, Michigan.

Herbert was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan on November 15, 1929 to Irvin and Elsie Cook. He served his country in the US Army in Korea. Herbert worked most of his life as a painter. He was a member of the Comins Eagles Club. He had enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Herbert is survived by his son Michael Cook (Michelle Fish) of Flat Rock, Michigan; his sister Betty; and 2 grandchildren: Chad and Christina Cook. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his parents, and 5 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 11 AM - 1 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI with Funeral Services at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI with Military Honrs offered by Luzerne American Legion Post #162.
