Helen Louise Lomerson

Helen L. Lomerson, age 80 of Mio, Michigan, formerly of Lapeer, Michigan, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Helen was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 25, 1941 to Daniel and Sarah (Bassett) Johnson.  She had lived in Lapeer, where she worked as a Radiology Clerk and retired from Lapeer Hospital. Helen was a resident of Mio since 1995. She was a member of the Mio Moose Lodge. Helen loved to play golf, bowl, and do ceramics. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her fiancé Tom Liss of Mio, MI; her children: Shawna (Gary) Sawyer of Lake Orion, MI and Bryce Lomerson of Lapeer, MI; her sisters: Mary (Larry) Allen of Lapeer, MI and Lenora (David) Rodd of Clarkston, MI; her grandchildren: Alexis Sawyer, Zoe Lomerson, and Mya Lomerson; her great-grandchildren: Everleigh Sawyer and Autumn Sawyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dan & Sarah, her late husband of 47 years, Gary Lomerson; and her brothers: Larry, Bill, and Tom.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Helen’s Life will take place on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4 – 8 PM at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer, Michigan.
