Hazel Deyoung

Hazel M. DeYoung, age 90, of Mio, MI, formerly of Portage, Michigan, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at her daughter's home, in Mio.
Hazel was born in Kalamazoo, MI on November 12, 1921 to Patrick and Mary (Ball) Egan.  She was a homemaker who was devoted to caring for her family. Hazel moved to Mio 6 years ago from Portage.
Surviving are her children: Linda L. (Gary) ""Hawley"" Wyckoff; Raymond C. (Lee) Hawley; Thomas Hawley; Mark B. (Dorothy) DeYoung; and Kathleen DeYoung;  her  9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her, 1st husband Raymond Hawley and her 2nd husband Bernardus DeYoung; her brothers:  Raymond Egan, William Egan, Clarence Egan, Joseph Egan, and Thomas Egan; and her sisters:  Mae ""Egan"" Parker, Pauline ""Egan"" Marr, and Irene ""Egan"" Shipe.
In accordance with Hazelâ??s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Interment of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI, next to her husband Bernardus.
