Harold "Rick" Ryckman, Jr.

Harold “Rick” Ryckman, Jr., age 86 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Rick was born in Ortonville, Michigan on March 15,1937 to Harold and Myria (Wells) Ryckman, Sr. He grew up in Lake Orion, Michigan. Rick served his country in the US Marine Corps. After his service, he worked as a Press Operator for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors: working in the garden, cutting firewood, taking care of his lawn, hunting, fishing, and walking in the woods.

Rick is survived by his children: Mark and Heidi, his brother Cecil, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years: Norma Jean, his parents: Harold, Sr. and Myria, his siblings: Donald, Bud, Shirley, Donna, and Martha, and his son Daniel.

Visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 3 PM – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and again on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Services at 11 AM with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Interment will follow the Funeral at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
