Harold James Buchanan Sr.

Harold J. Buchanan, Sr., age 82 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Grayling Hospital in Grayling, Michigan on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Harold was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 4, 1938.  He served his country in the US Navy and lived in Bay City where he worked as a lube mechanic. Harold moved to Mio in 1976. He had worked as a Tool & Die maker for Hoskins. Harold was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and traveling.

Harold is survived by his children: Harold (Johnna) Buchanan, Jr. of Mio, MI; Mike (Joan) Buchanan of Cascade, MT; Roy (Debbie) Buchanan of Clayton, MI; Phil Buchanan of Indiana; Debbie (Rich) Haskin of Alpena, MI; and Aaron (Shelly) Buchanan of Mio, MI; a son-in-law Ronald Layman; 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce Buchanan, and his daughter Kathy Layman.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
