Harold (Andy) Anderson 76, of Mio, passed away March 19,2017.
Harold was born in Marlette, MI, to Orville and Leota (Smith) Anderson of Brown City,
MI on September 26, 1940.
Harold grew up in Atlas MI were he was sometimes referred to as the "Mayor of
Atlas" because of his historical knowledge of the area.
Harold worked as a car-hauler (truck driver) out of Flint, MI terminal, hauling GM
product for nearly 30 years, and moved to Mio in 2010, a few years after retiring.
He was a member of the Goodrich #548 Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of the
Ausable Valley Engine & Tractor Club. He enjoyed antiques and especially antique
tractors large and small.
He is survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Carin (Memmer) of Mio, his sister Keitha
Parsell of Fairview and Flushing, children Jennifer (Jaymie) Rolfe of Bryon Center, MI;
Chad (Megan) Anderson of Bellingham, WA; step-son Tommy (Donnie) Atchison of
Laurinburg, NC; step-daughter Heather (Tim) Durso of East Lansing, MI. Grandson
Finnegan; step grandchildren, Natalie, Jessica, Echo, Kellsei, Joshua, Celia, Chiara &
Gianni. Nieces Lisa (Dan) Burrows of Davison and Laura Parsell of Flushing. Also, long
time friend Tim (Brenda) Holser of Grand Blanc, MI
Cremation has taken place with arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home. A celebration of
life will be held at a later date.
