Gregory John Groth

Gregory J. Groth, age 78 of Glennie, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Gregory was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on June 16, 1946 to Frederick J. and Barbara Groth. He served in the National Guard and served as a Detroit City Police officer, retiring in the mid-1980’s. He met Marcia C. Ramsey in 1987, and they married on June 16, 1998 in Harrisville, Michigan. The couple lived in Glennie. Gregory was a member of the Comins Eagles. He enjoyed model airplanes, hunting, fishing, and mushroom picking,

Gregory is survived by his wife Marcia; his children: Jamie Groth-McGuire (Tim) and Scott Groth (Kris) ; his siblings: Barb Lobbestael, Chris DeSousa (Joe), Tim Groth  (Kate), and Dennis Groth (Marion)  and his grandson Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
