Glenn A. Guilds, Sr.

Glenn A. Guilds, Sr., age 77 of Rose City, Michigan, passed away at The Villa at Rose City on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Glenn was born in Cass City, Michigan on July 25, 1939 to Glenn and Kathleen (Karr) Guilds. He married Sylvia Garnett on December 13, 1969 in West Branch, MI. Glenn worked for Pontiac Motors in Pontiac, MI, retiring in June of 1992 after 28 years of service. Glenn and Sylvia moved to Rose City from Davisburg, MI in July of 1992 to a home built from scratch by Glenn with the help of his family. Glenn had been a member of Parks and Recreation in Davisburg; a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners; and an active and loving member of St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Mio, serving on the board. He was an avid carpenter, who could fix or build anything. He also enjoyed hunting. Glenn will be remembered as an all-around good person and friend. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 47 years Sylvia; his children: Susan (Daniel) Jenks of Davisburg, MI; Sharon (Mark) Sieting of Luzerne, MI; Thomas Gallo, Jr. of Holly, MI; Dee Gallo of Loxahatchee, FL; and Glenn Guilds, Jr., Kenneth Guilds, and Kathy Bach, all of Cass City, MI. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Eric (Tina), Kevin (Kami), Jeremiah, Chevelle, Sheila, Danielle, Kendra, Katelyn, and Stephanie; and his great-grandchildren: Kamden, Isaiah, August, Glenn, Lyla, Carly, Jace, Carter, Jacob, and Lyla. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
Visitation on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 1 -4 and 6 – 9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with a Masonic Service at 7 PM. Funeral Services on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11 AM at Lashley Funeral Home with Fr. Allan Feltner of St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church officiating. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.
Memorial donations may be made to Oscoda County Shriners, Mio Masonic Lodge, or to St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church.
