Glenn Dewey, a long time resident of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on January 30, 1962, son of the late Dennis Dewey and mother Gail (Miller) Dewey. He married his beloved wife, Shirley (Padgitt) on November 7, 1983 together, their love spanned 38 years. The couple made their home in Lewiston and was blessed with two children, Brandon and Sarah, for whom he loved and cherished. He had a successful career of 20 years with Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools as a cheerful bus driver, retiring in 2019. He served as a proud volunteer firefighter for 30 years for Greenwood Township Fire Department and Albert Township Lewiston Fire Department. retiring in 2020. In retirement Glenn enjoyed working at Ace Hardware where he could continue to serve the community that he deeply loved. Glenn enjoyed lending a friendly helping hand to everyone he met. Glenn and Shirley enjoyed spending their time gardening, working on their home, and making the best BBQ recipes together. Glenn enjoyed sharing stories with his dear friends at the bonfire while enjoying an evening cocktail. Glenn was a devoted and loving husband, proud father and dear grandfather. He was well respected and loved by many. He will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Glenn is the loving husband of Shirley, dearest father of Brandon Dewey and Sarah (Nate) Brewer, cherished grandfather of Calvin, Jetta, Vincent, and Araina; dear brother of Kevin Dewey; and many loving family members.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
