Glen Best

Glen Best, age 87 of Comins, MI, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Bortz Health Care of Rose City, MI.Glen was born on February 15, 1925 in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan to Frank and Bertha (Lindsteadt) Best .  He served in the US Army during WWII.  Glen worked as a security guard for Chrysler Corporation in St. Clair Shores.  After his retirement from Chrysler, he moved to Comins in 1982.  Glen was a former member of the VFW, and was also a member of the Comins Eagles Aeries # 3544.  He married Sally Ann Best on July 28, 1990 in Comins.  Glen enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and riding on his pontoon boat. Surviving are his wife Sally Ann Best of Comins, MI; his children: Patricia (James) Korte and Gwynne (Larry) Archambeau; his sister-in-law Ruby Carter; 3 grandchildren: Jeff & Doug Archambeau and Stacie (Kevin) Stultz; 3 great-grandchildren:  Evan Archambeau, Brenden Stultz, and Sidney Stultz; his niece Arline (Jim) Ehrle; and several other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Jane; his granddaughter Gretchen Korte; and 6 brothers and 4 sisters.In accordance with Glenâ??s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in St. Clair Shores, MI.Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch, MI.Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan.
