Gladys Waive Zimowske

Mrs. Gladys Waive Zimowske, age 93, of Luzerne, passed away Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 at The Grayling Nursing & Rehabilitation Community.
Visitation Tuesday, May 27, 2008 5-8 PM and Wednesday May 28, 2008 from 11 AM until the time of Services at 1 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI with Mr. Frank Beek officiating. Interment at Luzerne Cemetery.
Gladys was born on December 8, 1914 in Detroit, MI to the late Arthur C. & Ruie M. (Mapes) Caplin. She moved to the Mio area and married George Clare Zimowske on August 9, 1975 in Lewiston.
She had attended Emma Lowery U.C.C. in Luzerne and had been active in the Women's Fellowship Group. She enjoyed music, knitting, crocheting had a deep love for wildlife and pets.
Gladys is survived by two daughters: Arlene (James) Olsen of Luzerne, MI and Audrey (James) Drys of Mancelona, MI; a brother, Archie M. Caplin of Holly, MI; 7 Grandchildren: Darryl (Marlene) Drys of Kalkaska, MI; Dwayne (Debra) Drys of Ortonville, MI; Tina (Tony) Rusiecki of Grayling, MI; Nancy (Rick) Watkins and Donna (Craig) Conway all of Mancelona; Christopher (Hope) Olsen of Lexington, KY and Kimberly (Randy) Parrish of Ann Arbor, MI. Also surviving are 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Elmer Rehse and George Clare Zimowske.
