Gladys R. Schoenberg

Gladys R. Schoenberg, age 88 of Lewiston, Michigan, passed away at Otsego Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Gladys was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 3, 1927 to Theodore and Alvina (Schmucker) Miller, and where she married Roy Schoenberg. The couple lived in Livonia where Gladys worked for the Livonia Public School System as a secretary for 10 years. They moved to Lewiston in 1988. Gladys was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mio. She was also a member of the 50’s Plus Club of Lewiston. Gladys had enjoyed bowling on leagues in Lewiston and also golfing.

Gladys is survived by her husband Roy of Lewiston, MI; her children: Mark Schoenberg of Lewiston, MI; Glen Schoenberg of Detroit, MI; Gary Schoenberg of Southfield, MI; Paul (Nanci) Schoenberg of Hamburg, MI; and Beth McClenaghan of Fruitport, MI; 2 sisters: Elaine Caporale of Dearborn, MI and Geraldine Thompson of Las Cruces, NM; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois Detweiler, and her brother Earl Miller.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12 Noon at St. John Lutheran Church of Mio, MI, with Pastor Jacob Schwartz officiating.
