When I come to the end of the day
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloomfilled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love we once shared-
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
Itâ??s all a part of the Makerâ??s plan
A step on the road home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to a friend we know
And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds-
Miss me, but let me go.
Gertrude leaves one son, Irving Patrick, and his wife Julie; two grandchildren: Andrew Popp (his partner Spencer) and Courtney (Eric) Bohlmann; and two step-great grandchildren: Jacob and Taylor Bohlmann.
