Geraldine C. ""Gerry"" SwierczSumming up the life of a truly magnificent lady is no easy task. For Gerry's family choosing one, even two words, to describe her is impossible. Words like cherished, amazing, adored, funny, generous, precious and beautiful were uttered. Gerry had this extra dash of poise and a calming presence uncommonly found in the souls of others. She had a gentleness to her and walked through our lives as only Gerry could, beautifully graceful. To know Gerry was to love her. She spent her entire life caring for everyone else first and thinking of herself last. Even in her final days she always had a smile that would brighten the room. Often times a wink accompanied that smile. Gerry passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 02, 2010 with her husband Ray holding her hand. Gerry was born September 15, 1929 to Constance and Charles Bladecki who predeceased her. Gerry met and shortly after married on April 15, 1950 the love of her life Ray. He survives her. She was very proud that they were able to share 60 ½ years together as husband and wife. The most important thing to Gerry was her family. Her legacy was her children and their families.Gerry brought 6 children into this world. Surviving her are Diane (Joseph) Foucault, Yvonne (Harry) Sauve, Cindy (Mark) Johnson, Mark (DeAnne) and David (Cindy) Swiercz. Her daughter Pamela Swiercz predeceased her in November 2001.Gramma Gerry's pride and joy were her grandchildren who she loved beyond words.Chad and Ashley Foucault, Jason Carlin, Justin (Megan) Johnson, Nick Tompkins and Chandler Swiercz, Heather and Nicholas Swiercz, and Troy Gwizdala. She was also blessed with 1 great grandchild Natalie Johnson.Gerry has 1 surviving brother Larry Bladecki. She was predeceased by her brothers Marion, Ray, and Bud Bladecki and sisters Eleanore Marchlewicz, Jane Volk, and Dorothy Bladecki. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews along with several special friends.Gerry was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Mio.
