Geraldine E. Leal

Mrs. Geraldine E. Leal, age 77, of Fairview, formerly of Comins, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
Visitation held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 7-9 P.M. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Following the visitation, in accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. A Committal Service with burial of ashes will be held in the spring.
Mrs. Leal was born on March 13, 1931 and raised in Rogers City, MI to Gilbert and Mary (Piper) Baur. She had lived in Detroit, where she had worked as a caregiver for the elderly, and settled in Comins, where she lived until moving to Fairview 8 years ago. Geraldine enjoyed fishing and camping.
Geraldine is survived by her children: Susan (Stuart) Emig of Comins; Pam (Steven) Mingus of Comins; and Nancy (Clayton) Nedwash of Mikado, MI; her sister Viola Brown; her brothers Arthur Baur and Julius Baur; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ignacio ""Leo"" Leal; her sons George D. Leal and Robert James Leal; her infant twins; and her sisters Ethel and Helen
