Geraldine A. Kersten

Geraldine Ann Kersten, age 71, of Mio, passed away, unexpectedly, Friday, November 12, 2010 at her home.
Geraldine was born on October 7.1939 in Lake Orion, Michigan to Kenneth and Helen (Waite) Spies. She was a resident of Oscoda County for the past 32 years.  Geraldine was active in the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since October 15, 1972.  She loved her family, friends, and congregation very much.  She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her family and participating in many spiritual activities.
Surviving are her husband Larry Kersten; her daughters: Beth (John) Kossack, Kathy (Jonathan) Gohl and Kora (Doug) Berney; three grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Jeron Berney and Joshua Gohl; her brother Dick (Ann) Spies; her sister Sharlene (Louie) Hintz, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Helen Spies and her brother Bill Spies.
Private interment services at Kittle Cemetery. A Memorial Service for Geraldine will be held at The McGregor Athletic Complex, Mio on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM, with a period of visiting from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM.
