Mr. Gerald F. (Jerry) Sanderson, 91, of Fairview, MI. died Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community, Fairview, Michigan. Visitation Sunday 6-8 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home. Service Monday at 11:00 AM, April 14, 2008 with Pastor Daniel Stoneback officiating also at The Lashley Funeral Home. Interment at Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI with military honors by Luzerne American Legion Post # 162.
Jerry was born in Ionia, MI. to the late Loren and Louise (Feliz) Sanderson on January 7, 1916. He moved to Comins, MI. in 1920 from Ionia and worked as a Forman for the State Highway, retiring in January 1981. He was a member of The Comins Eagles Aeries # 3544 and The Mio Moose Lodge #1035. He served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class in WW II and was given a Honorable Discharge in 1946.
Jerry is survived by his Sons Micheal Sanderson of Fairview, MI. and Timothy Sanderson of Lansing, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents Loren and Louise Sanderson and wife Vesta R. (Roth) Sanderson.
