Gerald Ross

Gerald ""Butch"" Ross, age 74, of Lewiston, MI (Red Oak), passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at his home.
Butch was born on December 31, 1936 in Detroit, MI to Edward and Dorothy (Wenson) Ross.  He married Ruth Ann Channell on June 14, 1986.  The couple lived in Garden City, MI while Butch worked for Chrysler Corporation as a foreman at the Mound Road Engine Plant in Detroit.  He purchased property in Red Oak in 1993, and upon his retirement on December 31, 1994, moved there.  He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan who enjoyed the beauty and bounty of nature in Northern Michigan.
Surviving are his wife Ruth of Lewiston, MI; his children: Gerald Ross, Dennis Ross, and Theresa Ross; his sister Patricia (Gary) Griffin; his brother Edward (Robin) Ross; 4 grandchildren:  Jack, Dennis Courtney, and Dori; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers:  Donald and Stephen Ross.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
