Gail "Curly" F. Lawrence

Gail F. (Curly) Lawrence passed peacefully of natural causes at the age of 83 on Thursday April 4, 2024 at the Saginaw VA Hospital. He married Sandra E. Lawrence in 1992, who passed away in August of 2019.

Curly was a long time resident of Mckinley. He served in the United States Army/Special
Forces from 1963 to 1965 & on the Mckinley Fire Department in his earlier years. Curly went on to become a licensed residential builder. In his spare time he had a passion for sports, deer hunting and enjoying all of nature at his private property.
Curly loved telling stories and joking around with his family and friends. He had a huge heart. He may not have always agreed with you but he was a very good listener.

Curly is survived by his Son: Gail Scott Lawrence, his Daughters: Cynthia Padilla & Barb
Simrau, his Grandsons: Scott Andrew Lawrence, Kurtis and Shane Simrau & Travis Elegert, His Granddaughter: Amber Elegert. His Grandchildren: Scott David Lawrence, Thomas Luca Lawrence, Dakota Sofia Lawrence, Cora Elegert, Conor Elegert, Camden Elegert & Miori Elegert. His Great Grandchild: Ruth Simrau. His Nephews: Dean & Dennis Lawrence, His Nieces: Denise & Debbie. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra E. Lawrence, his Son: Gail F. Lawrence Jr., his parents: William George & Marjorie Lucille Lawrence, his Brother: William Lawrence, and his Grandson TJ Lawrence

Visitation 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.
Funeral Services Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 also  at the funeral home, with Reverend Paula Timm-Potrykus officiating.
Interment with military honors following, at the  Mentor Township Cemetery Mio, MI.
