Frederick Allen Scott

Frederick Allen Scott, age 68 of Lewiston, Michigan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December
9,2015.
Fred was born in Hastings, Michigan on August 9, 1947 to Andrew and Laura (Jones) Scott. He served in
the US Army during the Vietnam War. Fred retired from GM Fischer Body in Lansing after 33 years, then
he and Mary Ellen moved to Grayling. The couple settled in Lewiston a year later. Fred was a member of
the VFW #701 in Lansing; the VVA in Roscommon, and AMVET #13 in Higgins Lake. He enjoyed fishing.
Fred is survived by his wife Mary Ellen of Lewiston, MI; his son Frederick Allen Scott, Jr. of Port Huron,
MI; 4 step-children: Benjamin (Carla) Morris of Charlotte, MI; Timothy Morris of Vermontville, MI; Lynn
Ann Morris of lona, MI; and Cindy Lou Morris of Vermontville, MI; his sister Sally Chapman of Grayling,
MI; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers,
and 1 sister.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Memorial donations
may be made to the Salvation Army.
