Frank Oliver Emig

Frank Oliver Emig, age 95 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at his home on Friday, January 22, 2021.

Frank was born in Comins, Michigan on May 15, 1925 to William and Carrie (Beaber) Emig. He married Gloria Abbe on September 29, 1947 at the Methodist Church in Hillman, Michigan. Frank worked as a farmer, and had also worked at the Fairview Creamery. He was also a Blacktop Inspector for the State of Michigan. He had enjoyed hunting, baseball, gardening and flowers, animals and all of nature. He also enjoyed playing cards and playing Bingo; and especially enjoyed his kids, grandchildren, and family.

Frank is survived by his wife Gloria of Comins, MI; his children: Claudia Yoder of Comins, MI; John (Karen) Emig of Central Lake, MI; Jeanne (Craig) Shantz of Suttons Bay, MI; Robert Emig of Fairview, MI; Peggy (Steven) Cooper of Comins, MI; and Patti Emig of Hazel Park, MI; his sister Velma Ouimette of Mt. Morris, MI; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law Jim Yoder, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 infant sons: Jerry & Larry Emig.

Private Funeral Services will be held. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.

Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
