Floyd E. Lefler, Jr.

Floyd E. Lefler, Jr., age 68 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Medilodge of Hillman on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Floyd was born on February 28, 1949 in New Haven, Michigan: to Floyd E. and Lillian (Berscheur) Lefler, Sr. He served his country in the 1st of the 8th Army Air Cavalry during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded in combat. Upon returning home, Floyd worked as a foreman, retiring 7 years ago. He moved to Mio in 1984 from Richmond, MI. He was a Lifetime member of the VFW, Mio Chapter #4126. He loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed two-tracking, shooting pool, and playing darts.

Floyd is survived by his mother Lillian Lefler; his son James D. Lefler of Houston, TX; his sister Ruth Swoffer, and his brothers: Steven (Wendy), Robert, and Glen (Kathy). He was preceded in death by his father Floyd E. Lefler, Sr., his wife Lila, and his sister Rose.

Visitation on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 1 – 9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and again on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11 AM, also at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating, and with Military Honors offered by the Mio VFW Post #4126. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Michigan.
