Florence M. Wilson, age 93 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at MidMichigan Hospital-Midland on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

Florence was born in Walled Lake, Michigan on September 25, 1927 to Elgin and Mary (McSkulin) Brown, Sr.  Florence loved to cook and she made it her career- owning and operating Flo’s Fine Foods in Mio which she operated out of Log Cabin; she also cooked for Ma Deeters in Luzerne in the 1970’s, Lost Creek Sky Ranch, and several others. Before she officially retired, Florence owned Wilson’s Odds and Ends, an antique shop in Mio. Florence loved her Lord Jesus and had accepted Him into her soul many years ago. She cared deeply for her family, and loved taking trips with them, especially to the casino. Florence was a regular attendee at the Mio Knights of Columbus weekly Bingo, where she was known by all as “Red”. She also enjoyed planting flowers, working in her yard, and traveling. She loved to share stories of her trips to Saudi Arabia and other countries around the world.

Florence is survived by her children: Patricia M. Wescott of Auburn, MI; Harvey (Dawn) Dusseau of Houghton Lake Heights, MI; and Dennis R. (Lori) Knepp of Luzerne, MI; her siblings: Dorothy McGlynn, Elgin ”Sonny” (Cathy) Brown, and John L. (Beth) Brown, all of Mio, MI; her grandchildren: Sarah (Craig) Gushow, Shay (Stacy) Nelson, Jessica (Brent) Werner, Tawnee Vestal, Matthew Dusseau, Rachel (Brian) Andrews, Tiffani Nichols, Nichole Knepp, and Desiree Knepp; her caregiver Lisa Harper, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters: Viola, Betty Jane, Gerry, and Margarette Ann Brown and brother Paul Brown.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
