Fern Lee

Fern Irene (Hunsberger) Lee, age 75, of Fairview, MI, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community.
Fern was born in Fairview, MI on December 21, 1936 to Edgar D. and Marie May (Gusler) Hunsberger. She married John ""Jack"" Lee on July 26, 1957 in Harrison, MI.  She was a member of the Comins Mennonite Church, the Mio Ladies Lions Club, and had been active in 4H, the PTA, and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of the McGregor Athletic Complex; working out there at least three times a week, she enjoyed power walking and working out. Fern was a homemaker who loved quilting, gardening, cooking, entertaining, crafts, and ceramics.  She especially loved her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband John ""Jack"" Lee of Fairview; her 3 children: Gaye (Bernard) ""Pizzi"" Lee-Peters of Grayling, MI; Cary (Mona) Lee of Saginaw, MI; and Todd (Verna) Lee of Comins, MI; her 7 grandchildren:  Brandan (Jessica), Chellie (Dave), Jessica, Tiffany, Dustin, Cassandra, and Ashley; and her 3 great grandchildren:  Joel, Jasmine, and Jackson.  She is also survived by her four sisters: Violet Neff, Shirley Brown, Sally Brown, and Gail Johns.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister Betty Jean Hunsberger.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 1-4 and from 6-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and again on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11 AM at the Comins Mennonite Church with Pastor Kevin Salsbury officiating.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, 230 Huron View Blvd.
