Ferguson H. Robertson

Mr. Ferguson H. ""Fergie"" Robertson, age 96, of Mio, passed away Friday, May 4th, 2007 at The Home of AuSable Valley Community, Fairview, Michigan.
Fergie was born on May 15, 1910 in Mitchell, Ontario Canada to the late Alex & Wilheinian (Alligson) Robertson. Fergie was a WWII Veteran & served his country in the U.S. Army as a PFC 1st Class., Mechanic in WW II. Fergie married Marion (Kuhn) Robertson in 1951. He had worked as an auto mechanic for Gariety Motors in the Detroit area, retiring at age 73. He moved to Gladwin and later settled in Mio.
Surviving are his sister: Evelyn Summers of Kleinburg, Ontario; brothers & sister-in-law: Lloyd & Florence Robertson of Merlin, Ontario and David Robertson of White Rock, British Columbia; Son in law: Harold Elkins, Sr.; Grandson Harold Elkins, Jr.; Granddaughter Tobi Elkins. Many nieces & nephews. He was she preceded in death by his wife Marion in 1980 and his daughter Patricia Elkins in 1992. Fergie had many close friends in Mio and the surrounding areas.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
