Fannie A. Williams, age 88 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services on Monday, November 20, 2017.
Fannie was born in Orleans, Michigan on September 29, 1929 to Ray and Josephine (Duby) Daggett. She married La Verne Williams in 1962 in Kent City, MI. The family lived in Greenville, then moved to Mio in 1963. They also lived in Grand Rapids for a time, returning to Mio in 1969. Fannie had attended Mio Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a homemaker and an avid reader.
Fannie is survived by her children: Connie Sue Williams and Gloria Green; her sister Delores Lemon; her grandchildren: Jamie Tailford and James Wesley Silverthorn, Jr.; and 7 great-grandchildren: Lydia, Katie, Hayden, James W. Silverthorn III, Elsie, Lorelei, and Jocelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: George Silverthorn and La Verne Williams; her son James W. Silverthorn; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI; and also on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 12 Noon until the time of Funeral Services at 1 PM at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Bela Kabor officiating. Interment will follow at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, MI.
