Eva J. Krcmarik

Eva "Eve" J. Krcmarik, age 74 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Grayling Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Eve was born in Caro, Michigan on December 3, 1945 to Arthur and Jennie (Albrandt) Tomlinson. She married James Krcmarik at St, Mary Catholic Church in Albee Twp., Michigan on August 26, 1967. Eve worked as a homemaker, later getting her CNA certification. She worked in Home Health Care for many years. Eve and Jim moved to Mio, Michigan in 1977 from Burt, Michigan. Their family owned and operated The Song Bird Motel in Mio for many years. Eve also worked for the Oscoda County Council on Aging in Home Health Care, later working in the kitchen at the Center. She was also a member of the Board. Eve was a member of St, Mary Catholic Church in Mio; serving as a Eucharistic Minister and active participant in Church activities. She was also a Lady of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, color tours, and bowling.

Eve is survived by her children: Amy (Joseph) Sykes of Mio, MI; Paul (Trisha) Krcmarik of Marion, IN; and Greg Krcmarik (Becky Krupp) of Chesaning, MI; her sister Bonnie Phelps; her grandchildren: Nathaniel (Nissa) Sykes, Kyleigh, Jenna, & Toby Krcmarik; and her great-grandson Henry Sykes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, and her brother Lawrence Tomlinson.

Visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 3 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and also on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 10 AM with Rosary at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church Mio, MI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM by Fr. Santiago Hoyumpa. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the Funeral Mass.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital or to the St. Mary Shrine Restoration Fund.
