Eugene Flint

Mr. Eugene A. Flint, age 90, of Fairview, passed away Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community, Fairview.
Eugene was born near Morenci in Lenawee County, Michigan on May 9, 1920, the son of the late Clyde and Edna (Sebring) Flint. He married Helen L. (Tucker) Flint on April 11, 1941 in Wauseon, Ohio. They raised their family in Adrian where Eugene worked as a glass cutter and installer for Adrian/Henderson Glass Company for 30 years. Eugene and Helen operated a Foster Care Home in Adrian for 10 years, caring for hundreds of children. The couple retired to Mio in 1983 where Eugene was an active member of The Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are his sons: Duane (Carol) Flint of Adrian and Edward Flint (Wendy Handrich) of Mio; daughter in law JoAnne Flint; brother Clyde (Bernice) Flint Jr. of Adrian; 7 grandchildren: Emily, Raymond, Wayne, Jeff, Kirk, Brian and Stephanie; 4 step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen, 2 sons: Dennis and Douglas; and 5 sisters: Margerite, Joanne, Shirley, Gertrude and Virginia.
Visitation Friday, January 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Services at The Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 29th, with Pastor Russell Bowman officiating.  Interment at Luzerne Cemetery Big Creek Township, Michigan.
