Esther Marie Wilson

Esther M. Wilson, age 98 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.

Esther was born in Mio, Michigan on January 5, 1917 to Harry and Jenny (Zimowske) Pierce.  She married Frederick S. Anderson in Detroit, MI, and lived in the Detroit area until moving back to Mio in 1946. She was a member of the Mio Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Esther was a homemaker and also a self-taught seamstress and painting artist. She enjoyed ceramics and was a handy carpenter.

Esther is survived by her children: Roger “Gus” (Cathy) Anderson of Gaylord, MI and Dennis (Toni) Anderson of Mio, MI; 2 step-daughters:   Terry Moss of Fenton, MI and Sherry Ferguson of Owosso, MI; 7 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 18 great-grandchildren; and her half-sister Donna Mae.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Frederick S. Anderson in 1972; her second husband William Wilson in 1980; and her sisters Geraldine McMillen and Freda Henderson; and her half-sister Florence.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 1 PM at the Mio Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Bela Kobor officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mio Seventh-day Adventist Church.
