In Loving Memory of Ellen Maree Fredrickson
March 7, 1939 – February 2, 2026
Ellen Maree Fredrickson, age 86, of Bellaire, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at Meadowbrook Care Facility. Ellen was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother whose love and kindness touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Deborah (Bud) Wolgamott, Larry (Liza) Fredrickson, Jenifer (Kevin) Reynolds, Brad Fredrickson, and Coni (Brent) Gay. Ellen was a proud and loving grandmother to her grandchildren: Kari, Mike, John, Ryan, Jeff, Lauren, Dean, Krysteena, Issac, Cameran, Coleton, Kylie, Brenna, Brogan, Stevan, and Kandace. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Derek, Chelsea, Lydia, Jake, Katelyn, Spencer, Alexandria, Jackson, Lorelai, Jordan, Hayden, and Tatum, as well as great-great-grandchildren: AJ, Lacie, Averi, and Braxton.
Ellen is also remembered fondly by her sister, Diana Nolan, and in-laws: Pam Pineo, Francis Moore, Linda and Gordan Peans, Christine and Larry Hotchkiss, and Alan Suddon. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
She entered eternal rest and was reunited with her beloved husband of 46 years, Lorentz Fredrickson; her daughter, Kristi Hargrave; her daughter-in-law, Treena Fredrickson; her grandson, Jordan Amos; her great-grandson, Kohen Burfield; her parents, Lettie and William Pineo; her sister, Julia Donahue; and her brother, William Pineo.
Ellen’s warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She never met a stranger and was known for her kindness, humor, and joyful spirit—sometimes even as a ball of fire. Her greatest joy was found in family and friends, with her love reaching far beyond her immediate family. Ellen cherished her nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends, especially her children’s friends, whom she welcomed as her own.
A memorial service to celebrate Ellen’s life and legacy is being planned for the spring. The family will share details as arrangements are finalized.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all the employees of Meadowbrook Care Facility for the exceptional care provided to Ellen. A special note of gratitude goes to Michael, her most recent caregiver, whose presence and kindness brightened Ellen’s days in ways words cannot fully express.
