Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Eiden

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Eiden, age 81, of Mio, MI, formerly of Clarkston, MI, passed away in the loving arms of her family, Wednesday, November 15th, 2006 at her home.
Visitation Friday 3-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home and Saturday 10 AM until time of The Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mio. Prayer Vigil Service at 7:00 PM Friday by Fr. Joseph Blasko with a K of C Auxiliary Rosary to follow. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery Mio Michigan.
Betty was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 6, 1925 to the late John and Annie Gardner. She married Jack Eiden on January 31, 1959 in St. Rita's Catholic Church in Holly, MI. The couple resided in Clarkston where Betty volunteered for The American Cancer Society and at adult group homes. They moved to Mio in 1989.
Betty was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Mio, where she had been involved with the Helping Hands Program. She was a member of The K of C Auxiliary and had volunteered at the former White Oak Nursing Home, Mio.
Surviving are her husband John W. (Jack ) Eiden; daughters: Joan (Dan) Rozman of Marquette, MI; Janet (Patrick) Taylor of Greenville, SC; Lori (Joel) Taylor of Goodrich, MI; Lisa (Jeffery) Jennings of West Bloomfield, MI and Amy Eiden of Davisburg, MI; son: John Mark (Lisa) Eiden of Traverse City, MI; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother Robert Gardner.
Her husband, kids and grandchildren where the light of her life. Her generous and loving spirit will inspire us all, to take care of each other and see the good in all people. She will be remembered for her youthful spirit and love of animals. Even though we have lost our best friend, we know that we have a special angel watching over us. Mom, you are the wind beneath or wings.
