Edith Rogers

Edith Rogers, age 93 of Fairview, Michigan, passed awayon Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Edith was born in Mio, Michigan on February 11, 1923 to John and Mary (Miller) Gascho. She married Boyd Rogers on October 25, 1945 in Fairview. Edith was a homemaker and mother. She also worked at Fairview Hardware as a clerk and window dresser for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of the Fairview Mennonite Church, where she taught Bible School, and was a member of the ladies group WMSA. Edith enjoyed refinishing furniture, craft painting, traveling, and sewing.
Edith is survived by her children: Myra (Roger) Yoder of Fairview, MI; Brad Rogers of Comins, MI; Kristi (Dennis) Morkert of Westland, MI; Kirk Rogers of Fairview, MI; and Shawn (Paul) Esch of Fairview, MI; her sister Millie (Willard) Bontrager of Mancelona, MI, and her brother Mahlon Gascho of Fairview, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Derek Yoder, Andrea Lee, Paige Chane, Deanna Lynch, Stephany Valk, Tania Oliver, Chelsea Morkert, Ryan Rogers, and Tia Rogers; and her great-grandchildren: Olivia Graef; Chloe Lee; Silas Lee; Katie, Rebeka, Joel and Owen Yoder; Gabriel, Ian, Micah, and Graysen Lynch; and Harper Valk. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Boyd; her daughter Rochelle Rogers; 3 grandchildren: Casey, Corey, and Thad Yoder; and her sisters: Elizabeth Layman, Anna Gascho, Edna Troyer, and brother Edwin Gascho.
Visitation on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 10 AM – 1 PM at the Fairview Mennonite Church, Fairview, MI, with Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor David Price officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Michigan.
