Dorothy J. Miller

Dorothy Joanne Miller, age 53, of Fairview, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service and interment of ashes will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. at Kittle Cemetery, Mio with Pastor Marcel Lamb officiating.
Dorothy was born on April 21, 1956 in Whittier, CA to Robert W. and Jean A. (Bedore) Deyarmond. The family moved back to Mio in 1970, and settled in Comins. Dorothy graduated from Fairview High School in 1974; then attended Kirtland Community College, and graduated in 1977. She moved to Florida where she worked as a legal secretary. Dorothy returned to Michigan in 1990, and married Rodney Miller on October 9, 1993 in Comins. She worked locally as a waitress at the Rustic Inn. Her favorite pastime was reading.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Rodney Wayne Miller of Fairview; her children: Caleb Roy (Cat) Griffith of Traverse City, MI; and Amanda Katherine Miller at home; her brothers and sisters: Richard (Marian) Deyarmond of CA; Loretta (Augie) Herrera of CA; Colleen (Gar)Keith of Mio; and Robert (Amy) Deyarmond of MN; her grandson Decon Griffith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
